Brady's 2020 Sustainable Gift Guide

By Brady Karg

The holidays are here! Unfortunately that means the stress of buying gifts, but with things being different this year and a healthy shift to focus on eco-friendly products and practices, I’ve created a gift guide that has a little something for everyone, and is sustainable too!

With everything this year has brought, it is easy to see why everyone is pushing up the holiday festivities sooner (rightfully so).  Even though these celebrations are going to be significantly different and weird (Thanks COVID), I hope you all still feel loved, cozy, and hopeful this season. My tree isn’t up yet, but the music has been on repeat!

Even though you may not be with your whole family this year, it is still nice to mail or deliver gifts to those you cannot be with. Although I will not be celebrating with family and friends, I still have to find gifts for my parents, sister, boyfriend, etc., and finding the perfect presents can be quite the challenge. The last thing we need this year is more bumps in the road. Below is the gift guide that will (hopefully) help you find the perfect gift for those you love, and do so sustainably and/or locally!

Pela Case: Phone Case

We all have cell phones and cases, so why not make a switch to a phone case that is 100% compostable? Pela Case is working to create a waste free future, and their phone cases are slim, stylish, and make an amazing gift!

Last but not least SHOP LOCAL.

Shopping local not only supports small businesses, it also reduces waste and carbon emissions from shipping. There is nothing better than helping members of your community, and knowing where your money is going!

I hope this gift guide helped inspire you, and also cross off some presents this holiday season. Remember to research the places you are buying from so you know exactly where your money is being used. Lets stop helping big companies pollute our planet. Happy Holidays!
